New and Noteworthy

"The paintings of Felix Berroa somehow manage to combine serious politics, bright and cheerful colors and cartonish figures who have wide, black-lashed Keenelike eyes. In one of his raimbow-colored oil on canvas, two candidates for office arrange an audience of blank-faced puppets". Si Margaret Moorman hubiera escrito sobre estos trabajos despues de la destruccion de las torres gemelas, hubiera hecho referencia especial sobre este trabajo hecho en 1988 como una creacion visionaria futurista. En el se ve en la primera pieza un hombre cayendo de un edifico. La desesperacion de la gente tirandose desde lo alto de las torres gemelas durante la tragedia del "9-11", fueron unas de las imagenes mas dramaticas).
